Brandon is an associate with Kinney & Lange, practicing intellectual property law in both transactional and litigation settings. Brandon primarily focuses on patent law, including the drafting and prosecution of patent applications, conducting patentability and freedom-to-operate studies, and drafting opinions of counsel regarding infringement, enforceability, and validity issues.
Brandon has experience working with individual inventors, small businesses, and multinational corporations. Brandon works with clients to help identify and protect their intellectual property. This includes both domestic and international patent application filings, strategy, and prosecution.
Prior to law school, Brandon earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minnesota Duluth. After graduating from UMD, Brandon worked for a defense contractor in the Twin Cities primarily working on designing future military technologies. Brandon received his Juris Doctor from Mitchell Hamline School of Law. In his free time, Brandon enjoys golfing, being active outdoors, watching sporting events, and traveling.
